Rebecca J.
Keenan
March 9, 1963 – June 1, 2026
South Ridge Hall
5:00 - 7:30 pm (Eastern time)
Rebecca "Becky" J. Keenan, age 63, and a resident of Lorain, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2026. Becky spent much of her life in Lorain County and graduated from Vermilion High School before raising her family in Lorain.
Becky was unapologetically herself — loud, funny, feisty, and never afraid to say exactly what was on her mind. She built lasting relationships and had a way of making people laugh within seconds of being around her, and her presence was one that could never be ignored or forgotten. While life brought struggles, those who loved her knew her heart, humor, and authenticity. She was always herself — no filter, no pretending, just Becky.
Becky worked as a registered nurse until the early 2000s. Although she no longer practiced, caring for others never left her heart. She continued to look after the people she loved in her own way and carried that compassion throughout her life.
She enjoyed watching true crime, listening to music, cooking, and most of all, watching her grandchildren grow up. She cherished time with her family and loved creating memories with them. Anyone who knew Rebecca also knew her love for Pepsi and cigarettes — small things that somehow became part of what made her unmistakably her.
Becky leaves behind her loving children, Chris Vukovich, Thomas “Tommy” Keenan, and Sarah Kitchen; her son-in-law, Zak Kitchen; and grandchildren, Aubrey Keenan, Jordan Kitchen, Mason Kitchen, Caiden Kitchen, Ethan Vukovich, and Evan Vukovich; and great-grandchild, Amir Keenan-Swigler.
She was preceded in death by her parents, June Rice and Bill Rice, and her sister-in-law, Karen Keenan.
Becky will be remembered for her loud laugh, fierce personality, humor, honesty, and the love she had for her family. Though she may no longer be with us, the memories she created and the laughter she brought will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026, from 5 PM to 7:30 PM at South Ridge Hall, 110 W. Main St., South Amherst, OH.
“We will forever cherish the memories we have with her.”
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Andras Crematory & Funeral Home, Lorain.
