Robert Smith Jr., age 74, and a resident of Elyria passed away at home on Saturday, September 14, 2024.

Robert was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1968-1972 after graduating from Grafton Midview High School in 1967. After returning home he worked at the Elyria Timm's Springs for 25 years and retired from Avon Bearings.

In his spare time, Robert enjoyed making memories with his family, going out to garage sales, and was an avid model train collector.

Beloved husband of Rita (nee Spooner) of 51 years. Loving father to Heather (Ray Mitchell) Smith and Randy (Shelly) Smith. Cherished grandfather to thirteen, and two great-grandchildren. Loving son of the late Robert and Leah (nee Ricker) Smith. Beloved brother to Charles, Harry, and Dale and extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Georgie, and Diana.

Private Family Service was held on Tuesday, September 17, 2024.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Andras Crematory & Funeral Home.
