Sandra B. Plato (nee Bunnell), born September 13, 1941 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to the late Boyce William and Helen Coburn, passed away Monday, June 17, 2024 at Ames Family Hospice in Westlake.

Sandra moved with her family when she was an infant and was raised in Fostoria and Elyria.  She was a member of the Class of 1959 of Elyria High School and attended Lorain County Joint Vocational School.  Sandra had been employed 25 years by the Elyria City Schools where she worked in the food service department.  She was a member of Amvets Post 32 and the United Polish Club, both of Elyria.

She is survived by her daughter Victoria L. Stevens, step-children; Lori, John, and Joe (Kim) Plato, grandchildren; Richard Stevens Jr., Martin Bowen Jr., Christopher White, Sarah Norman, Tyler Cocke, step-grandchildren; Kaleigh (Rafael), Kelsey (Courtney), Leo, Rodger, Nichole, Amanda, Joey, and Aaron, and several great grandchildren.

Sandra was preceded in death by her husband and beloved dancing partner of 21 years Stanley Walter Plato, who preceded her in death on September 7, 2023, daughter Cynthia Bowen, son Richard Stevens Sr., step-son Leo Plato, and her grandparents Raymond and Helena Coburn.

The family will have a Celebration of Life, held at a later date.
