Sandy Collins (Schroeder) of Lorain, Ohio, passed away after a lengthy illness, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and cherished memories with those who knew her best.

Born to Robert and Yvonne Collins, Sandy grew up surrounded by family and carried those close bonds throughout her life. She was the beloved sister of Brad Collins, Jackie Brooks, and Randy Collins, sharing with them a lifetime of memories, laughter, and support.

Sandy was a devoted mother to her four children: Mike Zgola, Lindsey Perez, Lauren Velez, and Zack Zgola. Her greatest joy came from her family, and she was a proud and loving grandmother to nine grandchildren who brought endless happiness into her life.

An avid animal lover, Sandy had a special place in her heart for her pets, whom she lovingly considered her babies. Her compassion extended beyond people to every creature she cared for.

Sandy lived in the moment, embracing life with a free spirit and a warm heart. She found joy in the simple things, treasured time with loved ones, and created lasting memories through her laughter and love.

She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

Family will receive friends on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Andras Crematory & Funeral Home, 3900 Broadway Ave., Lorain, from 6 to 8 PM.
