Sharon Rhea Chapman (nee Salisbury), 73, of Elyria, Ohio passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 2,2025 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Sharon was born in Nashville, Tennessee to Gatha and Howard Ray Salisbury, August 30, 1951. Her family eventually settled in Elyria and Grafton, where she attended Midview High School, class of 1969. It was there she met her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Frank- The two were married in July 1969. She was preceded in death by her husband and the two celebrated nearly 48 years of marriage.

Most people knew Sharon as a beautician in Elyria, where she worked for over 50 years, keeping Elyria's ladies beautiful. She owned and operated a salon with her friend and retired in 2018.

Sharon was happiest spending time with her family, whether at home or on vacation- and whenever she was asked what she wanted for her birthday or Christmas, it was always to spend time with them-

Sharon will be remembered for her warm smile, kindness and generosity- and she was so proud of her children and grandchildren. She loved fresh flowers and sunsets, and a good piece of lemon meringue pie- as long as it was fresh, walks on the beach and collecting shells. She was also a talented painter, quite crafty, and she loved a good bargain.

Sharon is survived by her daughters Megan Gwynn (Jason), Courtney Keaton, Amanda Seitz and her grandchildren, Hailee Ellison (Rob), Lexie Bookmyer, Savannah Keaton, Hunter Keaton. Zoie Seitz, Jason Gwynn Jr., Blue Haviland and her great grandson Theo Ellison.

A celebration of Sharon's life will take place, Thursday, January 9th from 5-8pm at The Black River Tavern- Valley of the Eagles Golf Club (formerly Spring Valley) and a memorial service will take place at 6:30pm. Please go to the lower entrance on the right side of the building.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Sharon's honor may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital or the National Kidney Foundation.
