Thomas “Tom” W. Comrie, age 71 and a resident of Elyria, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2026.

Tom found joy in the outdoors and loved gardening, boating, fishing, and gymnastics. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and will be remembered for his kind heart, generous spirit, and love for family and friends.

He is survived by his children, Tanya Sommers, Janelle Comrie, and Steven Comrie; his cherished grandchildren, Katlyn, Michael, Christopher, Jalissa, Jermiane Jr., Jade, D'Mahjia, Steven Jr., and D'Kohjta; and his precious great-grandchildren, Sage and Deonte.

Tom is also survived by his siblings, Gordon, Sue, Katherine (Ron), and Cheri (Robert), as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Jeffrey Comrie, and his sister-in-law, Nancy.

Thomas's kindness, willingness to help others, and love of nature will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
