William "Bill" C. Metcalf, age 68 and a resident of Lorain, passed away Monday, May 16, 2022 at Hospice of the Western Reserve, Cleveland after a one year illness.

Bill was born November 2, 1953 in Bay Village to the late William A. and Nadine S. (nee Bagi) Metcalf. He was a 1971 graduate of Max S. Hayes, Cleveland after which he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. and proudly served for four years. During his working life Bill was a dispatcher, truck driver, and retired as a security guard. He enjoyed spending time with his family.

Survivors include his three children; Jennifer (David) Blaine of Lorain, Shannon Byrd of Avon, William Metcalf II of North Carolina, three grandchildren, one great grandchild, six siblings; Dale (Gaynor) Metcalf of Lorain, Terry Metcalf of Cleveland, Kim Metcalf of Cleveland, Robert Metcalf of Parma, Laura (Doug) Sheets of Parma Heights, and Cherie (Scott) Stewart of Parma.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brother Timothy Metcalf (1979).

There will be no service and interment will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman.
