Ethel Dudukovich (nee Loczi), age 102, and a resident of Lorain, passed away peacefully at home with her beloved niece Kim at her side. Early morning of Monday, March 4, 2024 the clouds lifted, and the Aurora Borealis ushered her to heaven.
Ethel was born November 22, 1921 in Lorain to the late John and Elizabeth Loczi (nee Mazyi). She was a 1940 graduate of Lorain High School. Ethel married her beloved husband Nick on September 15, 1946 after which they made Lorain their home until retirement and settled in Arizona.
In the past, Ethel worked at Smith & Gerhart as a bookkeeper and was a licensed realtor. She was an avid reader and writer. Ethel was a passionate Stamp collector and an enthusiastic rock hound.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Nick Dudukovich, brothers John and Louis Loczi, sister-in-law Eileen Dudukovich, and brother-in-laws George Dudukovich and Verban Varbanoff.
Survivors include her nephew Keith (Liz) Loczi, niece Kimberly (Robert Sr.) Laurenti; great nephews Matthew (Andria) Loczi, Jacob Loczi, Robert Laurenti Jr., Drew Laurenti, Chad (Abi) Laurenti; great niece Lynly Laurenti; great-great nieces Harper and Reagan Loczi, Faith, Capri, Elianna, Esmeralda Laurenti; great-great nephews Eisenhower and Dawson Laurenti; her brother-in-law Joseph Dudukovich; her sister-in-laws Jenny Varbanoff and Marie Dudukovich; her cousins Paulette Begin, Jerry Begin, Jerome Begin, Jinju Begin, Karen Begin, Rob Hutsel, and Alexandra Hutsel, and many other extended family and friends.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, March 10, 2024 from 2-4 p.m. at the Andras Crematory Funeral Home, 3900 Broadway Avenue, Lorain.
