Glenn A. Thome, 62, peacefully passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2024. Glenn was born in Bay Village, Ohio in 1961 and grew up in Avon. Glenn graduated from Lorain County Joint Vocational School.
Glenn worked as a CNC machinist for Wonder Machine/Re:Build, Avon, until retiring. Glenn enjoyed flea markets, hiking and camping, especially at East Harbor and Mohican State Parks. Glenn and his wife, Stacy, resided in Amherst Township with their two dogs, Madison and Lola. Glenn proudly served on the Amherst Township Zoning Commision for 14 years, serving as chairman for 10 years.
In addition to his wife, Stacy Thome (nee Poman), Glenn is survived by his sister, Lorraine Al-Nimer of Elyria and his brother, Douglas (Becky) Thome of Lorain, along with two nephews, Todd and Hanni, and a niece, Nejua. Glenn is also survived by many,many cousins.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Marion Thome, his brother, Bernard Thome, and his sister, Lynn Clow.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at Holy Trinity Cemetery on Jaycox Rd., Avon. A Celebration of Life will be held at Mulligans Pub, 38244 Colorado Ave., Avon immediately following services.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made to Friendship Animal Protection League, 8303 Murray Ridge Rd., Elyria 44035.
